Our Philosophy
My daycare is Reggio inspired as well as play based and semi-structured to provide an atmosphere where learning and routine can be achieved. I provide a natural based play area both inside and outside, I believe in having a loving and calm environment where children feel like they are part of the enviornment and can enjoy being children through sensory, touch, action and movement.
Your child will find the In-Home Multiage childcare a place where they can learn, be social, and have their emotional needs met in a safe nurturing environment. I promise that your child will learn something new every day either within the home or during one of our daily planned activities. They will learn the importance of patience, sharing, responsibilities, compassion for self and others, communication and above all else teamwork. Your child (ren) will also learn the basics of education such as recognizing the alphabet, numbers, colors, shapes, and creativity and beginning stages of reading throughout different stations within our In-home Multiage childcare home. They will always be encouraged to use their imagination, words, problem solving, and teamwork and to be physically active both indoors and in our outdoor play area.
For many children this is the first time being spent away from their parents and may be their first experience in a group setting. It is my intention to make this experience a positive and successful one by assisting families through this transition. We find that a one-week gradual entry period works well for most children; this consists of numerous short stays and eventually a quick drop off during this transition to entering the program. This is meant to help the child; the parent or guardian get to know the teachers and build a realtionship to working together for the child.
My commitment to you starts with your commitment to being part of a team! For this support system to thrive we must have an honest open line of communication, with support being provided by staff and your family. Please feel free to share with me your concerns, problems, hopes and dreams for your children so we can help your child achieve or overcome these together, this can be done during drop off or during pick up times, however I am always available for a private meeting after hours.
